PROFILES OF WAITING KIDS – BRAINERD AREA

DEZMOND B:  Dezmond is a 6-year old first grader.  He lives in SE Brainerd with his mom, an older brother and a younger brother.  He is an active, inquisitive youngster who learns quickly.  His favorite subjects in school are computers, math and going to the library.  His favorite things to do for fun include playing in the snow, playing board games, working on art projects and playing sports.  He describes himself as, “Cool, I like to paint pumpkins, I like to do things like be nocturnal.”  He’d like a partner who is nice, active and likes to go to waterparks.  Dezmond has been on our waiting list since December 2010.

 LANA B:  Lana is a six-year old kindergartner.  She is the oldest of three children and has two younger brothers.  She is a delightful little girl who would benefit from some one-on-one time with a positive, upbeat woman.  Her favorite activities include bike riding, swimming, riding bike, playing outside and arts and crafts.  Lana also enjoys “girly” things such as nail polish and new hair styles.  Lana loves school and is a good student.  She is excited to get a grown-up friend!  She was enrolled in Kinship in October, 2011.

PROFILES OF WAITING KIDS – CROSBY AREA

Tim is a 7 year old boy living in the Crosby area.  He is currently living with his mother and her boyfriend.  He does have some contact with his father.  He is a high energy child that is funny and very out going.  He would love to learn how to swim in the big pool.  His mother doesn’t have a car so he does not have the ability to get out and do things.  He loves riding his bike and playing in mud puddles and his favorite food is apple oatmeal.  He would need a person that is high energy with a lot of patients.  (Waiting since 4/2009)
