 Taste of the Lakes

The 23rd Annual Taste of the Lakes will be held on Friday, November 18, 2011, at Grand View Lodge's Gull Lake Center. Tickets for the event are $75 and may be purchased starting in August 2011 by contacting either Kinship Partners at 218 454-8012 or emailing taste@kinshippartners.org.

Here's how it works. About 20 chefs from the finest restaurants and caterers in the Brainerd Lakes Area set up buffet stations so participants can enjoy sampling the "best of the best" from each of these establishments. There will be a selection of appetizers, salads, entrees, desserts and coffees. Wine and beer tasting will also be available during the evening. Along with the delicious food, wine and beer, many area artists donate pieces of their work for the art auction. There are gift baskets on the silent auction and a live auction of some very special gifts. Guests enjoy the food, wine and beer tasting and enjoy the silent and live auctions. It's a "bid a little, eat a little, bid a little, eat a little" kind of evening!

Last year over $50,000 was raised at the "Taste". Every penny raised goes to benefit the children's programs of Kinship Partners.
